New Book - The Lost Hero

Today we had a library session and 8RKe talked with the librarian about good reads, the Red Dot Programme, and the good reads + sections in the library. We had time to browse through the library and choose books which we thought looked good. The book I chose is called The Last Hero, and is written by Rick Riordan, the writer of the Percy Jackson Series. The book so far ( a whole 20 pages...) is about a boy who has woken up on a field trip bus with a group of children who are visiting the grand canyon in America. He is then told that he is a demigod and is supposed to be a great champion. A child in the group then turns on them and tries to kill him, but using unknown powers, he manages to save himself and his partner and they  are met by other demigods in a chariot that come from the sky. After that, they leave with the new friends back to Camp-Half Blood, a place where all demigods stay to be protected from the monsters of the outside world. I'm really enjoying the book so far and can't wait to read more! :) That's all for now

Jack Sparrow - Abnormal?

Jack Sparrow is the main character in the hit series, Pirates of The Caribbean and is a pirate in search of many obscure things. I believe that Jack Sparrow is viewed as abnormal in the movie as he is very quirky and has a general sense of humor which others appreciate, and mostly, don't... I think that I can relate to this character because I believe that I am a bit different to others and can bring humor and funny jokes to a group and increase the livelihood in the area.

Jack Sparrow:
 - Quiky
 - Interesting
 - funny
 - unique style
 - random thoughts and actions
 - seems to be involved in everything
 - quite a player...

Me:
 - can be funny
 - quiet
 - different to others
 - small and out of the way
